    GS Surf Winter Finishing and Goalkeeping School

    Greater Seattle Surf will be hosting our 3rd Annual Winter Finishing School December 26-28, 2018 at the Woodinville Sports Fields.

    The GS Surf Winter Finishing and Goalkeeping School will consist of three 75-minute practice sessions specifically designed to increase a field player's confidence, composure and creativity in front of the goal and a goal-keepers confidence, composure and understanding between the sticks. Focus will also be on awareness to create (Attackers) and prevent (Goalkeepers) goal-scoring opportunities. This will be achieved through repetitions of game-like situations in the attacking third of the field. The GS Surf Finishing and Goalkeeping School is open to all select and premier level players.Players will be placed in training groups based on age and or ability.

    Finishing School sessions will cover but not limited to:
    • Shooting with Right and Left Foot
    • Finishing from short and long services from wide areas (heading for age appropriate players)
    • Combination play

    Goalkeeping sessions will cover but not limited to:
    • Shot stopping
    • Increasing confidence on crosses
    • Positioning and preventing on breakaways

    Dates:   December 26, 27, 28 (Wed, Thurs, Friday)

    Ages and Times:

    U10-U11:   12:30pm - 1:45pm
    U12-U14:   12:30pm - 1:45pm

    Location:  Woodinville Sports Field #2 (closest to parking lot)
    131st Ave NE & 175th Ave NE, Woodinville

    Cost:
    GS Surf Members:  $75
    Non-GS Surf Members:  $90
    Non-GS Surf members must check box on payment page for the additional $15 fee when registering.
